Building Minority Wealth And Empowerment
Help Us Preserve Essential Financial Independence
Help Us Preserve Essential Financial Independence
The Minority Business Association is an open door to the much-promised big tent of diversity in Business Ownership, so many American Minorities have long dreamed of.
Black Business Owners not only provide much-needed and sometimes inaccessible services to Black and Minorities, they also are the biggest contributors to Cultural and Social Service Organizations that provide much-needed help to underserved communities.
It's important that Minorities have equal access to essential life-saving services and investment in Black and Minority Entrepreneurship to ensure and secure the health and wealth of future generations to come.
A dream deferred is a dream denied (Langston Hughes). Entrepreneurship starts with a dream. So many times when Black and Minorities dare to say I have a dream without support; it's a dream deferred without opportunity, it's a dream denied.
Minority Entrepreneurship has been the cornerstone of Black Financial growth throughout history, from the Black-owned Business of 1920 Harlem, when Black-owned Restaurants, Beauty Salons, Real Estate, Barbers, and over twenty-five other kinds of minority businesses thrived solely on the support of black customers. The Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, flourished as a Black economic and cultural Mecca known proudly as "Black Wall Street." The resentment of that Black business success led to a White Mob rampaging lynching, looting, and burning down Black businesses, homes, schools, churches, and the massacre of over 300 Black Americans, with as many as 10,000 people left homeless; this can NEVER happen again.
Lack of diversity in American business has led to systemic and institutional racism and misogyny, depriving Black and other Minority Business Owners and employees of a safe and sexual harassment-free work environment and depriving much-needed investment in Black-owned and Minority businesses because of bias and prejudice. Only through minority business independence and unity can Black American Businesses survive extinction. By supporting organizations like the Minority Business Association, we can restore and preserve the rich tradition of Entrepreneurial success and generational wealth for future generations.
The Minority Business Association will be hosting events in the future. Keep checking back for details.
